Happy Library Friday! Our community project for today: honor National Library Month with any sort of fragrance association you can think of.
What fragrance did you pick? As always, do chime in with your scent of the day even if you’re not participating in the community project.
I’m in Diptyque Volutes, because it smells so nice, but also because it has an opopanax note, and the word opopanax features in a vocabulary-oriented chapter of Anne Fadiman’s Ex Libris: Confessions of a Common Reader, one of my favorite books about books. Ex Libris came to mind for this project not only because it is, well, bookish, but also because the next book I’m expecting via the wonder of inter-library loan is Fadiman’s latest, The Wine Lover’s Daughter.
Reminder: 3/2 will be Uncle Serge Day…>
